Corinna Sowers-Adler to Bring LET ME SING AND I'M HAPPY to Metropolitan Room, 1/4

Cabaret Singer, Corinna Sowers-Adler, brings her new cabaret show entitled, "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" to the Metropolitan Room in New York City on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 4pm.

"Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" is an evening of American popular song filled with funny songs with (as Mr. Berlin wrote) "crazy words that roll along" to make you laugh, "sad refrains of broken hearts that loved in vain" to make you cry and "crooning blues that start you tappin' your feet and lift you out of your seat"!

Corinna brings "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" direct from the Emerson Center in Vero Beach, FL. Ms. Sowers-Adler recently made her Jazz at Lincoln Center debut at the 2013 Cabaret Convention.

Critic, Stephen Hanks states, "The New York cabaret community should realize that this talented singer has indeed catapulted herself into the elite group of young performers and landed very comfortably in the mix." Corinna Sowers-Adler is the latest voice of the American Songbook and was nominated for "Best Female Vocalist" for the 2012 BroadwayWorld Awards. She has performed her solo shows to rave reviews at The Metropolitan Room, Stage 72 @ the Triad, and the Duplex Cabaret Theatre and is the host of the critically acclaimed, MAC nominated "Music at the Mansion" series. From Berlin to Broadway to The Beatles, Corinna brings a new face to the sound of old favorites and a classic twist to new standards. "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" is an evening not to be missed.

Tickets to "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" are $20 plus a two drink minimum per person. Call 212-206-0440 or visit metropolitanroom.com for more information. "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy" features Markus Hauck on piano, Christian Fabian on Bass, and Colleen B. Clark on Drums.
