The Broadway at Birdland concert series, in association with Jacob Langfelder, is excited to announce that "Love Me: Downtown and Downunder - A Pride Celebration" will take place on the historic music stage on this Sunday, June 28 at 10:30pm.

Stars Ben Rimalower, Dorinda Medley, Molly Pope, Tori Scott, Lance Horne, Brendan Maclean & Andrew Nielson will fly into Birdland from the distant lands of Australia, Austria and Astoria for a very special Pride Celebration.

Molly Pope is a critically acclaimed cabarettist and actress whose shows have played Joe's Pub, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, Ars Nova, The Laurie Beechman Theater and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in Australia. She has been named a Time Out New York Top Ten Cabaret Act of 2008 and 2012 and a Village Voice Best of NYC 2011 for "Best Singer To Turn Life Into A Cabaret". Hailed as "one of downtown cabaret's most adventurous performers" by the New York Times, she has also performed at The Cafe Carlyle ("Tales From The Jazz Age"), the Afterglow Festival in Provincetown and "Our Hit Parade" at Joe's Pub. On stage she has appeared in FOUND (Atlantic Theater Co), Horseplay, or The Fickle Mistress (La MaMa ETC/Theatre Askew), and The Material World (Dixon Place).

Belter and bad decision expert Tori Scott, is a Garland for the Grindr era. As a singer, she has been performing her brassy songs and slurred autobiographical stories on the stages of 54 Below, the Laurie Beechman, the Metropolitan Room, and every gay bar on the Eastern Seaboard. As an actress, she's counted to 20 as a singing garbage woman on "Sesame Street" and dubbed the vocals of a singing hooker on HBO's "Cathouse: The Musical." As a woman, she strives every day in every way to be a consummate lady and sometimes wonders if she actually still has a liver or not. Throw caution to the wind and let Tori belt your troubles away.

Ben Rimalower is the author and star of Off-Off-Broadway's long-running, critically acclaimed solo plays Bad with Money (The Advocate's #1 Solo Show of 2014) and Patti Issues (M.A.C. and Bistro Awards, Official Selection: Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Summer Conference). Ben directed and produced the Off-Broadway plays Joy (Actors Playhouse) and The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero (Daryl Roth), as well as numerous off Off-Broadway plays, readings, benefits and concerts. He has earned the title the "Midas of Cabaret" (The Advocate) helming a slew of solo shows, most notably conceiving and directing Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches and producing Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records' Patti LuPone at Les Mouches. Brendan Maclean is the sparkling, glittering, fabulous songwriter Australia desperately needs. A master of the literal biting lyric that sits on the tip of your tongue, that crops up in conversation and is pasted across Facebook walls and Twitter profiles for weeks. His original songs, with their shamelessly flamboyant melodic lines, have worked their way from YouTube, to the Opera House and to the studio of acclaimed producer Paul Mac all before finding his new home at Universal Music Publishing. Brendan's sailing vocals have been compared to Panic At The Disco and Patrick Wolf with a style that stretches from pop fireworks to dramatic rock ballads; his lyrical delivery receiving praise for its personal and instantly recognizable charm. His live performance has been called "electric" by triple j, with Drum Media saying Brendan "had the audience spellbound. Truly magical." Without a touring agent to his name he has found himself supporting Lanie Lane, Claire Bowditch and Kate Miller-Heidke and Darren Hayes of Savage Garden at The Enmore, Forum and Tivoli. Baz Luhrmann also called upon the multi-talented Sydney artist to play the role of Klipspringer in his blockbuster "The Great Gatsby" in scenes alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. A two-time winner of Australia's National Youth Week Industry Award for Songwriting Brendan's latest release Stupid, produced by Paul Mac, was funded through a crowd-funding campaign which raised $21,000 in just three weeks. The song was pasted on the front page of BuzzFeed with the video-clip racking up over 130,000 views on YouTube, ended up on national American news with Perez Hilton telling Swedish pop star Robyn to "watch your back girl, you've got competition."

Andrew Nielson is an American film, television, and theatre actor. His selected theatre credits include Les Miserables (dir. Fred Hanson of the 2007 Broadway revival), The Ugly Duckling (Drama Desk Nominated company Marvell Repertory Theatre), and Son of a Gun (directed by Tony Award nominee Gabriel Barre), among many others. His recent film credits include the upcoming sci-fi thriller Caihong City and the upcoming LGBT drama Lover's Game. He lent his voice to the 2012 animated Machinima series Life, Hat Backwards and is on file with Amazon's AUDIBLE company. He has been studying acting with Seth Barrish, Lee Brock, and Barbara Garrick at The Barrow Group in New York City for the past 2 1/2 years. Currently, he is enjoying being a part of The Barrow Group's 2014-2015 Apprentice Company. Andrew also studies voice with Aaron Hagan and Justin Stoney. In addition to acting and singing, he is an accomplished and quickly rising cellist on the New York scene, freelancing with some of the finest talents in the Broadway, classical, and pop music industries.
