Yesterday it was announced that FOX News' long-running star Bill O'Reilly had been fired from his post following sexual harassment accusations and a sudden exit of advertisers from his show. A statement from Fox News issued yesterday read: "After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel." Later, O'Reilly responded in a brief statement, insisting the the harassment allegations "completely unfounded."

Late-night hosts were quick to jump on yesterday's announcement. Quipped DAILY SHOW host Trevor Noah, ""Bill O'Reilly talked about lot of issues over 20 years. But it's important tonight to remember he had a special place in his heart for black people. Prison."

LATE SHOW host Stephen Colbert opened his show by explaining, "I owe a lot to Bill O'Reilly. I spent over 9 years playing a character based largely on him - and then 12 months in therapy, to de-bloviate myself." He then presented a video featuring his alter-ego from his days hosting his Comedy Central talk show.

Over on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, Kimmel shared an exclusive preview of O'Reilly's soon-to-be replacement on FOX News.

And LATE LATE SHOW host James Corden gave his reviewers a recap of the firing of O'Reilly from FOX.
