Robin Roberts will undergo a bone marrow transplant today, three months after revealing to GOOD MORNING AMERICA viewers that she was diagnosed with the rare disease MDS. The popular morning anchorwoman recently left the show for an extended medical leave to treat the disease. Today she sent an inspirational message to viewers from her hospital bed where she is undergoing chemotherapy in preparation for the operation. Check it out below!

Looking weak but optimistic, Roberts, in a pink baseball cap which covered her hair, assured her fans, "This journey is as much about the mind as it is the body. Thoughts are so powerful. You've got to change the way you think in order to change the way you feel ... I feel the love and I thank you for it. Thank you."

Robert's physician, Dr. Gail Roboz, also appeared on Thursday's Good Morning America to update viewers on her condition and explain the procedure which will take place today.
