On last night's CONAN on TBS, guest Anna Kendrick talked about her new film "The Last Five Years" and shared that she wishes real life was just like a musical, which was enough for CONAN to cue the music and burst into song with his guest!

The Last Five Years opens in select cities on Friday, February 13. The film follows the story of an author (Jeremy Jordan) and a musical theater actress (Anna Kendrick) who meet, fall in love and go through a five-year relationship and marriage that eventually falls apart. The story unfolds to the audience hrough a series of songs about different aspects of their relationship.

An accomplished theater veteran, Kendrick made her Broadway debut in the 1997 production of High Society, for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Kendrick's additional theater work includes A Little Night Music, My Favorite Broadway/The Leading Ladies: Live at Carnegie Hall and Broadway workshops of Jane Eyre and The Little Princess. Earlier this year, Kendrick's hit song "Cups (When I'm Gone)," from THE PITCH Perfect soundtrack, climbed into to the Top 10 on Billboard's Adult Pop Song chart.

About CONAN

Describing itself as a traditional late-night talk show, CONAN draws its comedy from recent news stories, political figures and prominent celebrities, as well as aspects of the show itself. The show typically opens with a monologue from CONAN O'Brien relating to recent headlines and frequently features exchanges with his sidekick, Andy Richter, and members of the audience.

The next segment is devoted to a celebrity interview, with guests ranging from actors and musicians to media personalities and political figures. The show then closes with either a musical or comedy performance.
