Earlier this week, it was confirmed that former SMASH star Krysta Rodriguez had departed CBS' How I Met Your Mother spin-off HOW I MET YOUR DAD - today, Deadline has confirmed that her replacement has been found.

Tiya Sircar (THE CRAZY ONES, THE INTERNSHIP) has landed the vacated role of of 'Juliet', the "sexy and flamboyant" best friend of Sally (Greta Gerwig.) Rodriguez exited the project after the first table read, and changes to the character were made, including stripping Juliet of her high-profile fashion blog gig.

How I Met Your Dad will tell the story from a female point of view, that of Sally (Gerwig), and revolves around a new group of friends in New York. The show's three male leads are played by Drew Tarver, Nick D'Agosto and Andrew Santino. The pilot, from 20th TV, was written by Emily Spivey and HIMYM creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. Rob Greenberg is directing.

Sircar has also appeared on Lifetime's THE WITCHES OF EAST END, Amazon's BETAS, and will star in the upcoming comedy MISS INDIA AMERICA.
