TLC's 'SWEET 15: QUINCEANERA' Takes Viewers Into the Heart of Popular Mexican Tradition

They say, there are parties, and then there are Quinceañeras! TLC is bringing back the popular series that celebrates the traditional rite of passage in a Latina's life, a day of pride for the entire family. Turning 15 is a once in a lifetime event that commemorates the day a young girl enters into womanhood.

While longstanding cultural traditions like finding the perfect dress, and the father-daughter dance, still remain prevalent, new American traditions are BECOMING a staple, including over-the-top photoshoots, numerous mid-party outfit changes, and music videos that rival those of the biggest teen pop sensations. In addition to the glamour and opulence of the main event, at the heart of it all is a family who has been in the Quinceañera business for over 45 years, working with each client to create a special, unforgettable event...meet, cousins Alexis and Jarling, along with Alexis' wife Daniela who are Miami's premiere Quinceañera party experts and dress shop owners.

In the world of Quinceaneras, girls have bigger and bigger plans every year. Photo shoots in hot air balloons, with alligators and camels, and even in Paris. Parties with not one but two or three dresses, and themes stretching from the Roaring Twenties to the polar icecap.
