THE NFL ON CBS Delivers Most-Watched NFL Singleheader Game Debut in Six Years

THE NFL ON CBS's Week 1 regional coverage on Sunday, Sept. 7 was seen by an average of 16.5 million viewers, the most-watched NFL singleheader game debut on CBS in 16 years (previous high was 16.2 million in 2010).

Sunday's 16.5 million viewers was up 6% from last year's 15.5 million, and up 11% from 14.9 million in 2012.

THE NFL ON CBS's coverage was highlighted by New England-Miami, Oakland-New York Jets, Tennessee-Kansas City, Cleveland-Pittsburgh, Cincinnati-Baltimore and Jacksonville-Philadelphia.

THE NFL ON CBS Week 1 coverage earned a fast national household rating/share (Live + Same Day) of 9.9/22, up 4% from last year's 9.5/20, and up 10% from a 9.0/19 in 2012. The 9.9/22 was the highest-rated NFL singleheader game debut for CBS in 15 years (11.1/27; 1999).
