Sony Pictures Television Chairman Steve Mosko, head of the industry's largest independent television studio, will deliver Loyola Marymount University's graduate commencement address on Sunday, May 8 at 10 a.m.

Mosko is in charge of all TV operations for Sony Pictures Entertainment worldwide, overseeing the development and production of programming in all genres and across platforms, distribution of feature film and television content, networks and advertiser sales. Under his guidance, Sony Pictures Television currently produces more than 40 programs in the U.S. alone, and has a global network footprint that includes 150 channel feeds available in more than 178 countries; the video-streaming service Crackle; and operations of the game show network, GSN.

Mosko joined Sony Pictures Entertainment in 1992 and held several senior management posts before his appointment last year as chairman of Sony Pictures Television. Under his leadership, the studio has produced popular primetime network and cable series including The Blacklist, Breaking Bad, Underground, Bloodline, The Night Shift, Game of Silence, The Goldbergs, SHARK TANK and Better Call Saul.

He began his career as an account executive and local sales manager at WMAR-TV in Baltimore, his hometown.

Mosko served on the LMU Board of Trustees from 2001-2008.

More than 700 graduate degrees will be conferred at the 10 a.m. commencement ceremony in Sunken Garden. It can be viewed live online at www.lmu.edu. More information about Commencement Weekend 2016 can be found at http://academics.lmu.edu/commencement/.
