Patrick Stewart, the actor best known for his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation was known for leading the Starship Enterprise to the final frontier. Now, he's the final piece of the puzzle in a star-studded cast at Salt Lake Comic Con (http://saltlakecomiccon.com/) FanXperience (FanX) on April 17-19, 2014 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Stewart will be appearing on Saturday, April 19, 2014.

In addition to his role as Picard, Stewart is also known for his roles as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series and his stage roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company. X-Men: Days of the Future Past, hits theatres in May and is one of the most anticipated films of the year. In 1992 TV Guide named Stewart television's sexiest man and in 1993 named him the best dramatic television actor of the 1980's.

"This is a huge win for our fans as we've been working for a long time to bring Patrick Stewart to Salt Lake Comic Con FanX," said Dan Farr, Show Producer. "Patrick's popularity in Star Trek and X-Men have made him so prevalent amongst Comic Con fans that adding him to an already impressive celebrity lineup at FanX will make this an epic event that nobody will want to miss."

"We listened to our fans and their requests for Patrick Stewart at FanX," said Bryan Brandenburg, Salt Lake Comic Con Co-founder and VP of Marketing. "We're glad we can give them what they want and know that this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many."

Salt Lake Comic Con FanX is expected to break the previous record for largest convention ever in the state of Utah that was set last September with the inaugural Comic Con. Salt Lake Comic Con 2013 was also the largest first year Comic Con in North American history. Show organizers are anticipating more than 100,000 attendees at FanX and have doubled the floor space to accommodate the demand. FanX includes cast members from Star Trek, Star Wars, Walking Dead, Firefly, X-Men, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica and Power Rangers to comic book artists and authors from both Marvel and DC Comics.
