On May 7th 2014 The Shadow Box Theatre kicks off its spring tour of the environmentally aware tale, The Earth & Me, a flowing tapestry of song, dance, puppetry and music. This timely story of a curious child and her questions about how the planet came to be are answered by the Earth in poetic form, telling the wondrous and sometimes destructive tale of the history of the Earth and its creatures. Through each mesmerizing act of the story we are shown that every creature, person, and bit of the Earth is connected to the other and thus the need for peace. As this awe inspiring story comes to an end, the Earth joins hand in hand with the child as they reach out to people of all nations, to honor and protect the Earth.

The Earth & Me inspires everyone with hope while empowering us all to maintain our environment's delicate balance through harmony, tolerance and peace.

The Shadow Box Theatre performs this harmonious production weekdays in Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. Additionally there is a Weekend Family Show Sunday May 18th at the Kumble Theatre in Brooklyn at 2pm.

The Shadow Box Theatre, now in its 48th year, has been inspiring the children of New York City and its five boroughs through shadow puppetry and theatre in its mission to foster humanistic values, creativity and learning.

Along with the programming The Shadow Box Theatre also provides Read Along/ Sing Along books, CDs and DVDs in its attempt to promote literacy while unleashing the creative potential of children.
