Scott Boyarsky Named CNBC Digital VP of Product Development

Scott Boyarsky has been appointed to the newly-created position of Vice President, Product Development & User Experience for CNBC Digital, it was announced today by Kevin Krim, Senior Vice President & General Manager, CNBC Digital.

Starting on Monday, December 10, Boyarsky will be responsible for creating innovative and interactive experiences across CNBC Digital’s suite of products and services including CNBC.com, CNBC Real-Time iPhone & iPad Apps and CNBC Real-Time Android Apps, CNBC PRO, the premium, integrated desktop/mobile service, CNBC digital video and syndication services, as well as identifying new emerging platforms and digital product opportunities for the network.

“Scott is a well-respected digital media executive who brings an incredible mix of deep technical proficiency, creativity and user-centric focus coupled with strong leadership skills and strategic thinking,” said Krim. “I am very excited to have him in this key position as we continue to build a multi-platform product strategy that delivers compelling digital content experiences.”

According to the most recent comScore data, CNBC.com was visited by 8.4 million unique users in October, its highest total ever and a 30 percent increase compared to the same time period as last year.

Most recently, Boyarsky was Vice President of Technology for Turner’s Audience Multi-Platform Technology (AMPT) group, where he was responsible for driving technology strategy and product implementation for a diverse portfolio of award-winning News, Finance and Sports brands, including CNN, CNNMoney, CNN International, HLN, NCAA, March Madness Live and Sports Illustrated.

Before joining Turner Broadcasting, Boyarsky was Vice President of Product Management for EveryDay Health. There, he led digital product strategy across multiple websites within the EveryDay Health portfolio.

Prior, Boyarsky served as Director of Technology and Product Development at The Walt Disney Company and headed a bi-coastal product development and technology team for a Disney eco-consumer digital business. In addition to leading product and technology efforts at Disney, Boyarsky managed web development and program management at ABC News Digital, where he oversaw efforts including the 2006 mid-term election, 2007 site redesign and integrated video experience.

Earlier in his career, Boyarsky served as an Executive Web Producer at Thomson Learning where he led digital strategy, design and development efforts of digital products. Boyarsky also spent several years at Gentiva Health Services in a variety of roles including Director of Marketing Communications, Manager of Creative Services and Interactive Media and Senior Web Developer. He has also worked at NAI Global, Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation and began his career at Pearson Publishing.

Boyarsky holds a Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University.
