Ryan Murphy Reveals Deeper Implications of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN, Plans for Next Season

According to The Hollywood Reporter, after a recent screening, AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN creator Ryan Murphy revealed the deeper implications of this season, set to premiere on FX tomorrow night, October 9, at 10 p.m.

"It's a meditation on race relations in this country; it really is an allegory for any minority group living in our country," he said. He went on to say that the show has "a great thriller aspect to it this year."

As for the next season of AHS, Murphy revealed that he has the plot set! He plans to tease the title somewhere the "last image" of this season of AHS: COVEN.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN centers on a modern-day witch academy in New Orleans, featuring returning series star Jessica Lange and new addition Kathy Bates, alongside Season Three featured players Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Patti LuPone, Evans Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe and Emma Roberts.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are Being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN premieres on October 9 at 10 PM.
