Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer will make her debut as host of "Saturday Night Live" on March 4. Spencer, who won for "The Help," is vying for her second Oscar for her role as Dorothy Vaughan in the drama "Hidden Figures," which was nominated for best picture.

Father John Misty will make his debut performance as musical guest. Father John Misty's forthcoming album, "Pure Comedy," is the highly anticipated follow-up to his internationally acclaimed album "I Love You, Honeybear."

Joining the five-timers club, Scarlett Johansson will host "SNL" on March 11. Johansson can next be seen in "Ghost in the Shell," due in theaters March 31. Grammy Award-winning artist Lorde will join as musical guest making this her first solo performance on SNL.

"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels. Since its inception in 1975, "SNL" has launched the careers of many of the brightest comedy performers of their generation. As The New York Times noted on the occasion of the show's Emmy-winning 25th Anniversary special in 1999, "in defiance of both time and show business convention, 'SNL' is still the most pervasive influence on the art of comedy in contemporary culture." At the close of the century, "Saturday Night Live" placed seventh on Entertainment Weekly's list of the Top 100 Entertainers of the past fifty years.
