NowThis Launches New Docu-Series with Abigail Disney's Fork Films

NowThis, the most-watched news publisher on mobile; Abigail Disney, Founder of Fork Films; and Erica Payne, Founder of Patriotic Millionaires, today announced a partnership on a new docu-series that will provide viewers with a unique insight into the perspectives of some of the most powerful voters in the country. SWINGERS takes viewers inside the personal lives and political minds of Obama voters who supported Trump in 2016 in the key swing state of Pennsylvania, which is widely considered a bellwether of the country's broader political dynamics.

The first episode of the docu-series, Swingers, was released today across NowThis' platforms including its YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.

Swingers gets up close and personal with a small group of voters from Pennsylvania who supported President Obama for two terms but then voted for Trump in 2016. The "swingers" from Pennsylvania, one of the nation's most purple states, cited issues like the economy, jobs, and immigration as key to their flip. The first episode of Swingers brings the audience into the homes of these swing voters as they react to news and events about the Trump presidency alongside their family and friends.

As the 2020 campaign season gets underway, the series will continue to follow these voters as they weigh their choices for the presidential election. Will their initial optimism about Trump's ability to "drain the swamp" and "make America great again" waver or will they stick by the President and deliver him to the White House for a second term? We will follow them as they decide the fate of a nation.

Fork Films Founder, Abigail Disney said: "This set-up gives viewers an extraordinary opportunity to observe how some of their fellow citizens make their political decisions."

Patriotic Millionaires Founder, Erica Payne said: "Swingers lets viewers eavesdrop on what's motivating the actual human beings inside one of the most powerful voting blocs in America."

NowThis' Chief Content Officer, Tina Exarhos said: "We're excited to partner with Abigail Disney and Erica Payne ahead of the 2020 election and document the real sentiment of voters on-the-ground in swing states like Pennsylvania and around the country. Swingers is the first of many upcoming projects which will highlight the key issues that matter most to young people as we head into the general election.
