New Comedy Web Series REDHEADS ANONYMOUS Airs Season Finale

After dodging stereotypes, surviving sunburns, and confronting bullies, the adventures of four ginger pals in the new web comedy Redheads Anonymous culminate in its first season's final episode, "Ginger Ninjas". When the carrot-topped gang goes undercover to see what life without red hair would be like, they discover more about themselves than they expected.

Redheads Anonymous is a comedy webseries about cultural stereotypes, bullying, tokenism, beauty standards... and redheads. In its five-episode first season, the ambitious and quirky ginger Molly (Elisabeth Ness, The Grid) finds a way to pay for school with a too-good-to-be-true Redhead Scholarship. This perfect opportunity means that with the help of her friends-played by Juliet Brett (The Jacksonian), Ethan Slater (Lightning Bugs in a Jar), and Kathleen Littlefield (Tenured)-she must document what it means to be a redhead, that is, if she can figure it out.

With over 72,000 views, the series has been garnering attention and critical acclaim. USA Today proclaimed its premiere episode a Web to Watch video; it won the Web Series of the Week award by the Indie Series Network (ISN) multiple times; and Allure, The Huffington Post, and The Daily Mail have recommended the show.

The Huffington Post applauds the show for "targeting anyone who's ever felt like an outcast because of a physical attribute," and the show's team is grateful for the support and attention. Says creator Elisabeth Ness, "If someone -- especially a misfit, redhead, or girl -- sees a character they can relate to, or a situation they can laugh at because it resonates with them, we'll have made a difference."

Redheads Anonymous was cast by the Emmy Award-winning Kimberly Graham (Homeland), and features cameos by non-redheaded Broadway favorites Ann Harada (Avenue Q, Cinderella), Gideon Glick (Significant Other, Public Theater's Into The Woods), Allie Trimm (Bye Bye Birdie, 13), and Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening, Brooklynite). Other notable cameos include William DeMeritt (The Normal Heart), Trey Gerrald (Orange is the New Black, Next Caller) and Parisa Fitz-Henley (Mysteries of Laura, Grey's Anatomy).
