Variety reports that NBC has renewed its hit dramas CHICAGO FIRE and CHICAGO P.D. for a fifth season five and fourth season, respectively.

The network chairman Bob Greenblatt announced the news last night at a Chicago press event for the two shows as well as its upcoming spinoff series CHICAGO MED, scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, November 17th.

Shared Greenblatt, "This is a great city full of culture and it's a city full of heroes. Hopefully, we're depicting them properly in these series. We couldn't be more proud as a network to have these three shows."

NBC recently announced the renewal of its hit drama BLINDSPOT. All three shows are executive produced by Dick Wolf, whose credits include the network's "Law and Order" franchise.

The two Chicago-based dramas have delivered solid ratings performers for NBC throughout the current season. NBC has not revealed the fate of "Law and Order: SVU."
