NBC Entertainment has promoted company veteran Bradley Melnick to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment.

Melnick advances from his previous role as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for West Coast Television Group. In addition to his current financial oversight of the network side of the business, he will also assume similar responsibilities for Universal Television.

"For more than 15 years Brad's contributions have been vital to sustaining the overall financial health of the company," said Greenblatt. "Engaging in several departments during his tenure here has given him a unique perspective on how those divisions all work in unison to meet and exceed common monetary goals."

Melnick joined NBCUniversal in 1998 and held positions for the first 10 years in the company across the News, Cable and Production Operating departments.

Prior to his arrival at NBCUniversal, Melnick spent two years at Golden Books Family Entertainment as the finance lead for the entertainment arm of the business and earned his Certified Public Accountant degree after three years at Coopers & Lybrand.

Melnick is a graduate of Syracuse University where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting, and he later received a Master's degree in Business Administration from New York University.
