Deadline reports that Lily Collins will star in the dark comedy TO THE BONE. The project marks the feature directorial debut of TV writer Marti Noxon, who penned the dark comedy based on her own experiences with anorexia.

Commented Noxon, "Lily is a rare bird. She's got a depth of feeling and heart that immediately won me over. I feel blessed to be working with a young woman with such talent, beauty and brains."

Principal photography is set to begin later this month in Los Angeles.

Collins' big screen credits include the Snow White tale Mirror Mirror and The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones. She will next be seen in the currently untitled Warren Beatty movie. Other credits include The Last Tycoon, Amazon's drama pilot based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's final unfinished novel.

Noxon's TV writing credits include Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Mad Men. Film credits include I Am Number Four and Fright Night. She recently adapted the Gillian Flynn bestseller Sharp Objects.
