A Broadway and Hollywood star is penning a memoir!

Current NASHVILLE and THE GOOD WIFE featured player and Tony Award-winning Broadway regular Laura Benanti is set to pen a new memoir of humorous essays according to a new report.

Benanti comments, "Every single day, something weird happens to me."

Furthermore, Benanti adds, "The man next to me on the plane leans over and whispers in my ear that he is 'not a fan of flying' because 'he's in the funeral business.' A little kid on the street practicing karate accidentally punches me directly in the lady zone. A handsome but scruffy stranger on the subway I have been chatting with for 20 minutes asks me if I would like to get a coffee/do I have any spare change. Stuff like that. I don't think it's fair that I should have to endure this burden alone. So I have decided to share it with you."

The memoir is set to be released in 2016 by St. Martin's Press.

Laura Benanti has appeared on Broadway in numerous productions, including her Tony Award-winning Best Featured Actress In A Musical performance in GYPSY, as well as notable turns in INTO THE WOODS, NINE, THE WEDDING SINGER and more. Additionally, Benanti has made a mark on the small screen, appearing in several TV series including PLAYBOY and ROYAL PAINS besides both NASHVILLE and THE GOOD WIFE at the moment, plus 2013's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE!
