Grammy Winner Missy Elliot Teams with ESPN to Tip Off NBA Season

Grammy Award-winning artist Missy Elliott (@MissyElliott) and ESPN (@ESPNNBA) have teamed up to tip off the 2015-16 NBA season. A sneak peak of Elliott's new single - "WTF (Where They From)" feat. Pharrell Williams (@Pharrell) - will air this Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. ET during NBA Countdown, ESPN's NBA pre-game show. The snippet will also be showcased throughout ESPN's opening-night NBA doubleheader on Wednesday, which is also available on WatchESPN.

Additionally, "WTF (Where They From)" feat. Pharrell Williams will be integrated with ESPN's NBA game and studio coverage throughout the early part of the season.

The news was announced during halftime of ESPN's Oct. 26th edition of Monday Night Football.

Missy Elliott is a 5-time Grammy Award-winning rapper/singer/songwriter/producer and a groundbreaking visual artist.

ESPN's opening night NBA doubleheader begins at 8 p.m., after NBA Countdown, as the Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant host the San Antonio Spurs and Tim Duncan. At 10:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant will host the Minnesota Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Townes - the number one selection in the 2015 NBA Draft.
