Giada De Laurentiis travels to her birthplace for an extended holiday this summer, and viewers are invited to share food and family visits with her in the brand-new series Giada in Italy, premiering Sunday, July 19th at 11am ET/PT. Born in Rome, Giada is inspired by the bounty and beauty of Italy, and this trip is filled with fresh ingredients, family recipes and beautiful scenery. From digging into her grandmother's ancient recipe book with her Aunt Raffi and exploring the site of her grandfather's former pasta factory to making a California-inspired feast for her uncle's soccer team, Giada celebrates her family history and beloved food traditions in every episode.

"We are excited for viewers to see Italy through Giada's eyes," said Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President, Food Network. "With her family's deep roots in the region, there is no one better than Giada to explore the traditions, secrets and delights of Italian food and culture."

In the premiere episode, Giada arrives in Italy and, after opening up the holiday house, heads into Sorrento to stock up on essential Italian ingredients. She then returns home to prepare a light meal inspired by the local goods, including Grilled Treviso with Citrus Bagna Cauda, Pan-Seared Branzino with Tomato and Capers, and Fresh Citrus with Gelato and Almond Cookies.

Giada in Italy is produced by Linguine Pictures.
