As first reported on Deadline.com, Tony-award winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to join the cast of Steven Soderbergh's upcoming film SIDE EFFECTS.

Zeta-Jones will star in the film along with previously announced cast members Blake Lively, Jude Law and Channing Tatum. The movie is scripted by Scott Z. Burns and directed by Soderbergh. Filming is set to begin this April on location in New York.

The actress will portray Dr. Erica Siebert in the thriller which tells the story of a deeply depressed woman (Lively) who fears the imminent release of her husband (Tatum) from prison. Her fears lead to a drug addiction and a relationship with another doctor played by Law.

Zeta-Jones and Soderbergh have collaborated in the past on the film 'Traffic'. The star's latest film, 'Lay the Favorite', recently had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

Zeta-Jones received a Tony Award for her performance in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and an Academy Award for "Chicago." She has appeared on the London stage in 42ND STREET and STREET SCENE. Her many film credits include "No Reservations," "The Terminal," "Entrapment," "Traffic" and "The Mask of Zorro." She is currently filming New Line Cinema's film version of the smash hit Broadway musical "Rock of Ages" under the direction of Adam Shankman ("Hairspray").
