CBS SUNDAY MORNING Scores Best February Sweep in Viewers Since 1994

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - as well as viewers in the February sweep, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

During the sweep, CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.10m viewers and a 1.6/08 in adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best February sweep delivery in viewers since 1994, matched last year's adults 25-54 rating, which was the best since 2010.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted more than 6 million viewers in a February sweep for only the second time since the advent of people meters (1987-88 television season). Compared to last February, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +3% in viewers (from 5.93m) and even in adults 25-54.

On the last Sunday of the sweep, CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.79m viewers a 1.5/07 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 23, 2014. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 and viewers. Sunday's Broadcast featured Rita Braver's report on hoarding; Tracy Smith's profile of actress Fran Drescher; Mo Rocca's report on Portland, Ore., the city behind the fictional TV series "Portlandia"; and Faith Salie's interview with shoe designer Steve Madden.

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in viewers (5.97m from 5.69m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.
