I am convinced Robert Kirkman is trying to kill me. After last week's action-packed, high anxiety episode, I was almost thinking that he would take it easy on us this week. Instead, it was WAY worse and it leads me to ask the question, "DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN?"

Flipping back to a continuation of the premiere, we are back with Rick, Glenn and Michonne as they try and keep the herd of walkers together after the loud horn coming from Alexandria. Rick decides to take off back to the RV to try and round up the rogue walkers leaving Daryl, Abraham and Sasha to keep going forward. He leaves Glenn and Michonne in charge of getting the survivors back to Alexandria. He tells them to keep going no matter what as most of them won't make it back. Right away, one of the survivors hurts her ankle (Annie), another gets bitten (David), another takes off running (Sturgess) in fear after shooting, yet, another accidentally. As the group comes upon a town, they take refuge in a pet store after seeing Sturgess being ravaged by walkers. Glenn suggests that he and Nicholas go burn down a Feed store to distract the walkers so they can make a run for it. Glenn radios Rick and tells him the plan. He tells him "Good luck, dumbass." (I mean at that point, we kinda knew, right? Or was it when he pulled our Hershel's watch?) Nicholas had been to this town before and knows his way around. Heath confronts Michonne after overhearing Rick tell her that not everyone would make it. Michonne schools Heath and basically tells him to grow the hell up. David, Annie and the shot guy tell them to go on without them as they will only slow them down, but they will not leave anyone behind. In making a run for it, Annie falls and is overtaken quickly. The rogue herd closes in on the town and the group is quickly trapped, Glenn and Nicholas on top of a dumpster and the rest behind a fence. Everyone makes it over the fence, except for David, who was kind of doomed anyway, but we feel badly after he professed his need to get back to his wife, Betsy, in Alexandria. Michonne, Heath and shot guy (I should learn his name...) head to the meeting place they had agreed upon, but there is no sign of Nicholas and Glenn. Why? Oh, because stupid Nicholas has a panic attack and decides to kill himself. In doing so, his limp body takes down Glenn and they are both taken apart by the walkers. Yes... that happened. Our beloved Glenn is dead... isn't he?

Oh and that wasn't the end! No, there was still like ten minutes left in the episode that we had to go on with while having that in the back of our heads. So, when Rick reaches the RV, he contacts Glenn, but there is no answer. The wolves that Morgan set free in Alexandria arrive and attack Rick but he takes them all down. Daryl, who had taken off to try and help Rick receives word that Rick is all right and heads back to meet up with a peeved Abraham and Sasha. Rick radios them as they all hear the gunshots in Alexandria and he tells them that they have to trust that they can all handle it as their only chance is to keep leading these walkers away. Rick tries to turn on the RV to meet up with them, but it won't start and the herd is swarming.

Good God, Robert Kirkman, you are sadistic! Granted, most of the odds had Glenn not making it through this season, but Episode three? Brutal! If you are a comic book reader, you knew this was coming and you knew it was going to happen in a very graphic and brutal way. I am sad for Maggie as she now has no one, but mostly I'm sad at the thought of no more Steven Yeun. The worst part? That wasn't even the only bad thing that happened! Daryl abanadoned Abraham and Sasha who are surely going to be furious. All of the group Rick left are dead except for Michonne, Heath and the guy who was shot (Found out his name is Scott...) and Rick is in a heap of trouble. We didn't even have time to process the death of Glenn before we had to worry about all that. And stupid Nicholas, we just knew he'd be the death of someone. Did it have to be Glenn? Glenn who spared him, Glenn who began to tolerate, even mentor him even after he got Noah killed? What a cruel, cruel trick to finally have Nicholas die and in doing so, to take Glenn with him. CRUEL! And he's really, really dead... right?

We are also confronted with just how grave a mistake it was for Morgan to let those Wolves go. Did he in essence sentence Rick to his death? It looks like next week's episode will be a flashback into Morgan's past. Hopefully this will shed some light on what he's been through so we can all come to understand his methods. The universe is imploding. We are only three episodes in and I can barely handle it. And in all the tragedy and sadness, I just have to ask... anyone else shipping Michonne and Heath? Just kidding, Rick's cut on his hand. Comic book readers... getting walker blood on his cut... uh... that's bad, no?

Also, if anyone tells you that the show isn't good anymore, you have my permission to laugh in their face and tell them they are missing out, as this show is better than ever... even if Robert Kirkman is trying to kill me. I shall now weep quietly as I go to sleep. As the beloved Chris Hardwick so eloquently stated on TALKING DEAD, "This is a bucket of suck."
