Ariana Grande Announces New Christmas Music Releases, Beg. 11/19

Ariana Grande announced on Twitter yesterday that she will be releasing one new Christmas song per week before the end of the year, beginning on Nov. 19.

"I'm releasing new music for Christmas!" the 20-year-old posted on Twitter on Wednesday (Nov. 6). "New song every week as a countdown to the holidays starting Nov19. Beyond excited to share them w/ U!"

A Republic Records rep confirmed the news to Billboard that there will be four Christmas songs in all included in the weekly series. The tracks will not be packaged as a standalone EP but will be announced each week. Among the four will be both original songs as well as covers.

Grande is also set to perform at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and on the Jingle Ball tour. The Sam and Kat star is also nominated for Best New Artist at the 2013 American Music Awards, and will make an appearance at the November 24 ceremony.

Ariana's debut album "Yours Truly" debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 last month. She recently became the first female singer whose first album debuted atop of the US charts since Ke$ha's "Animal" in 2010.

The singer/actress, who starred on Broadway in '13', is best known for her starring role as Cat Valentine, in theNickelodeon hit series Sam & Cat. The series premiered in June 2013.
