The Atlanta Opera will host its 24-Hour Opera Project Showcase on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 7 p.m. EST. Audiences can attend for free or tune in via LIVE WEBCAST.

Selected composers, lyricists, stage directors and opera singers -- randomly put into teams - have 24 hours to compose, stage and rehearse a 10-minute opera. Performances will be judged by a panel of judges and by the audience.

The public unable to attend the showcase can tune in to a LIVE WEBCAST at atlantaopera.org or Livestream.com and vote for the audience favorite.

The kick-off event will take place on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 5pm at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, 1328 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Ga.
