Puccini's La Bohème returns to The c*ckTavern in Kilburn for an exclusive three week run at its home venue, to celebrate this production's first birthday. OperaUpClose's La Bohème has become the world's longest continuously running opera, after six months in Kilburn and a six week season at Soho Theatre (where it returns for another six weeks in January), meeting with great critical acclaim. This intimate staging has been wowing consistently sold-out houses with comedy, pathos, and its unique Act 2 - performed in the bar amongst locals and audience alike - described by the New York Times as 'one of the most ingenious stagings ever devised'.

OperaUpClose is dedicated to presenting new, challenging and classic operas in intimate spaces using young world-class trained singers and directors. Artistic director Adam Spreadbury-Maher and producer Ben Cooper formed the company to bring opera to life for new audiences, and to offer the extraordinary opportunity to experience the dramatic and musical event of opera up close. Adam was appointed Artistic Director at the King's Head Theatre in September, which under his leadership has become ‘London's Little Opera House'. He runs OperaUpClose with Co-Artistic Director Robin Norton-Hale.

La Boheme will play at the c*ckTavern Theatre (125 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 6JH) from 14 December 2010 - 02 January 2011. The performance schedule is as follow:
Mon-Sun 7.30pm
