Swedish-Belgian avant-gritty pop duo Victoria+Jean has just unveiled the visual accompaniment to their song "Takes You Like a Rose". The dark, brooding tune comes off of their latest album, Divine Love, released in April of 2016. Meeting each other was a catalyst for greater things. Victoria, playing solo and in bands, was starting to believe that she would never make the music she loves. Things changed when she met Jean, and the two became Victoria+Jean - creatively and romantically. WATCH "TAKES YOU LIKE A ROSE" HERE

Shot in Tokyo and directed by Kosai Sekine, the video serves more as a short art film than a music video, where "Takes You Like a Rose" is a seamlessly fitting soundtrack for the hazy, noir night of debauchery. Explains Victoria:

"This is one of the last videos we have of this adventure of the Divine Love album. It took us about three years and did over 12 videos with 12 different directors and producers. The place of a musical narration by the image was primordial for us, and indeed the challenge was exciting too. We flew from Russia to Sweden to Japan to Los Angeles, to Bristol to China, Brussels to Paris ... globetrotting the world meeting talented artists...And we did this together on our own, we did it with our collaborations and in which gave us complete autonomy...We wanted to show a respect of artistic expressions, and bring it back."

Divine Love is available for purchase via Cadence Music.
