NexxThursday crafts his own world piece by piece. The New York-born and Los Angeles-based artist and Holla Back Music Group founder not only sings, raps, and writes, but he also produces, engineers, and mixes. As a result, a singular vision courses through every movement on his debut Natasha EP [Warner Bros. Records]-from buoyant energized rhymes and show-stopping vocal runs to widescreen production and shimmering soundscapes. This approach transformed his independent breakout "Down" into a viral hit during 2016. Co-produced with Joey Castellani, this introductory anthem scored over 1.42 million Soundcloud plays and 754K YouTube views in under six months with no traditional promotion, co-sign, or label. By 16-years-old, the Brooklyn native learned production and moved throughout various studios across the city, sitting in on sessions, creating beats, and architecting a style of his own. After years of quietly working in the shadows, he emerged under the moniker NexxThursday in 2016. YouTube sensation LeanSquad found "Down" and showcased it in a video.
