Today, Swedish recording artist Tove Styrke releases the video for her new single "Say My Name" via Sony Music Sweden/RCA Records. The colorful and bright visual was directed by Daniel Skoglund and produced by Tim Mardell Click here to watch.
"I wanted the video to be colorful, crisp and simple, just like the song. My idea was to use mirrors as a metaphor for self-appreciation or self-love. "Say My Name" is sung directly to someone, but there's also a more personal vibe; being completely comfortable with yourself and staying true to your own feelings," Tove Styrke says about the video. "Say My Name," which currently has over 1.5 million streams on Spotify since its release on April 28th, is Tove's first single since her 2015 U.S. debut Kiddo. It has garnered significant buzz, reaching #11 on Spotify's US Viral 50 chart and #12 on the Global Viral 50 chart. Additionally, the track is Lorde-approved, as the singer included the track on her "Homemade Dynamite" Spotify playlist. The song is also #1 on Hype Machine and has received stellar press coverage, with outlets such as Pigeons and Planes calling it "a summer hit." "Say My Name" is co-written and produced by fellow Swede, Elof Loelv, who has worked with artists such as Rihanna ("Stay" feat. Mikky Ekko), Zara Larsson and Icona Pop.YouTube/VEVO: http://smarturl.it/SMNLV
