They Might Be Giants New MY MURDERED REMAINS Album Pre-Order Launches Today

Ending the year moving just as fast as they began it, They Might Be Giants is rock's original perpetual-motion machine. Just in time for the holidays, the band has announced the pre-order launch today for a brand new album available through Idlewild Recordings on their website and on tour.

My Murdered Remains is 16 brand new tracks drawn from the very best of this year's Dial-A-Song service, with a deluxe CD and download package featuring an additional 16 bonus tracks. The album includes the instant audience favorite "The Communists Have the Music" -- the accompanying video was created with David Plunkert, the award-winning illustrator of the notorious The New Yorker Trump/KKK sailboat cover. Downloads will be delivered on December 10, CDs will ship in mid-December, vinyl will ship in 2019.

But wait, there's more! Also arriving in December is The Escape Team, a collection of character songs inspired by TMBG collaborator David Cowles' The Escape Team comic book, and a special limited edition of the John Henry Demos. Long traded among fans, this set of demo recordings finally gets a proper release on CD and as a deluxe 2-disc vinyl package (180g orange colored 12" plus a 7" bonus). Again, CDs and downloads for both projects arrive in December while vinyl ships in 2019.

These new projects bookend the January release of the universally celebratedI Like Fun album and wraps up an amazing year where the band demolished stages in over 80 cities across the globe, was nominated for a Tony award for their song "I'm Not A Loser," was the featured guest on WTF with Marc Maron, and performed on CONAN (+ special web-exclusive)!

The band has just returned from a thrilling run of US and European dates as well as their first ever multi-city Canadian tour, and now carry on to celebrate New Year's Eve in Philadelphia and a full tour of Australia that begins in February (multiple shows have already sold out in advance).
