CapLive and the historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in downtown York welcome The Wood Brothers to the Capitol Theatre on Tuesday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. The Wood Brothers are the newest addition to CapLive's eclectic lineup of nationally-known acts and up-and-coming performers. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 10:00 a.m.

Steeped in American roots music since childhood, The Woods Brothers along with new full-time band member Jano Rix, capture a newfound fraternal synchronicity with a cohesive compilation of songs from their latest album, The Muse. Following the opening one-two of "Wastin' My Mind" and "Neon Tombstone," the album shuffles between bluesy, classic country and swampy funk, mining the brothers' timeless influences (Robert Johnson, Willie Nelson, Charles Mingus) while sounding fresh enough to win over fans of today's mainstream roots-music acts (The Avett Brothers, Mumford & Sons).

Willie Watson steps on stage with a quiet gravitas, but you can hear him loud and clear when the former founding member of the band Old Crow Medicine Show, lets out that high, lonesome vocal. Watson is center stage, armed with an acoustic guitar, banjo and the occasional mouth harp, sharing songs from his debut solo album Folk Singer Vol. 1.

Tickets are $25.00 and go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at www.StrandCapitol.org, by calling the Strand-Capitol box office at 717-846-1111, or at the door the evening of the show.
