The School of Music presents its popular Music Celebration Concert Friday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. in Mershon Auditorium, 1871 N. High St. This annual musical extravaganza showcases the school's many performing groups -- from the Symphony Orchestra, glee clubs and concert bands to its Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, soloists and much more -- all presented in a non-stop collage setting.

Celebrating the music of the season, this year's program features Greensleeves (Symphonic Band), Verdi's "Sanctus" from Requiem (Chorale, Symphonic Choir, Men's Glee Club, Women's Glee Club), Shostakovich's Festive Overture (Symphony Orchestra), the traditional Irish Wexford Carol (Flute Troupe), Bolivia (Jazz Ensemble) and many more selections. The concert concludes with the traditional "Hallelujah Chorus" from Messiah, with the combined Men's and Women's Glee Clubs, Symphonic Choir and Symphony Orchestra.

The Music Celebration Concert typically sells out, so purchasing tickets in advance is suggested. All seats reserved. Purchase tickets online, call (614) 292-3535 or visit the Wexner Center for the Arts Patron Services Desk.
