The Knoxville, Tennessee quartet Royal Bangs is set to embark on a nationwide headline tour accompanied by fellow indie band Bad Suns. The tour kicks off January 9 at Three Links in Dallas, TX and includes stops in Austin, TX, Brooklyn, NY, and Nashville, TN. The upcoming tour is in support of their celebrated new LP Brass and follows a successful fall run in support of Crocodiles and Geographer.

Added to the success of their fall tour, "Better Run," the lead single from their critically acclaimed album Brass, recently debuted at #1 on the Alt Specialty Radio Chart. RollingStone.com also premiered the video for "Better Run," earlier this year asserting, "the Knoxville, Tennessee band delivers an inventive clip for its infectious new song." The official music video their new single, "Octagon," also recently debuted at RollingStone.com and is now available to view/embed on YouTube HERE. Of the video, the site praises, "Royal Bangs play it cool in their video for "Octagon," letting loose in a studio space and jamming out in front of a kaleidoscopic backdrop of vibrant color. The Knoxville, Tennessee, band shifts across different sets as they play the warm, jangly track..."

Both singles are from Royal Bangs' new album, Brass, which is out now to widespread critical praise on Modern Art Records. CMJ calls "Better Run," "the perfect fall anthem, fronted by a dual assault of jangly guitars and echoe-y piano plonks," while AllMusic asserts, "with Brass, the Royal Bangs have tested their musical mettle and created a possible future classic to be appreciated for years to come."

Produced by The Black Keys' Patrick Carney,Brass is the group's fourth full-length release and was recorded at Haptown Studios in Nashville during May 2012. Of working with the band, Carney comments, "I was really excited to get to produce a Royal Bangs album. I discovered them about six years ago and became so obsessed that I released their first two albums on my label, Audio Eagle, but this is the first chance I've had to actually help them make an album. They are one of those bands that just keep getting better and better and I couldn't be more proud to have been involved with this album and band."

Since their debut in 2008, Royal Bangs have toured with The Black Keys, The Walkmen, Portugal. The Man, and Cold War Kids among many others. They have also performed at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and on the "Late Show with David Letterman."

Royal Bangs is Ryan Schaefer (singer, multi-instrumentalist), Chris Rusk (drums), Sam Stratton (guitar), and Dylan Dawkins (bass).
