New York City power-pop trio The Turnback announces the October 2nd release of their second album Are We There Yet? The 12-song release was produced by the band themselves and is absolutely stacked with contagious hooks, big bright guitars and giant harmonies, featuring shades of greats like Fountains of Wayne, The Byrds, Sloan and of course The Beatles, whose "Tomorrow Never Knows" is covered as the album's final track.

It's not a surprise that the album happened to be recorded on some of the same equipment once used by The Who. From the aggressive yet melodic shuffle and sharp vocal harmonies of "Faketown" to the uplifting and emotional 'everyman' anthem "Five Days A Week", Are We There Yet? pays homage to the classics yet keeps both feet firmly in the present delivering a sound that is uniquely the band's own.

The Huffington Post exclusively premiered "Five Days A Week", the album's lead single. LISTEN, SHARE & POST: "Five Days A Week" from THE TURNBACK

Are We There Yet? is the follow-up to Drawn In Chalk which served as the soundtrack to frontman Todd Giglio's semi-autobiographical 2009 indie film Drawing With Chalk. The film was well-reviewed and won multiple festival awards, but it was the music that got the most love. Way Off The Grid radio called it "one of the best power pop albums ever crafted", Pop Geek Heaven gave it a 5 out of 5, and tech authority Mashable chose the accompanying video as one of the best ever to be shot with an iPhone. A review even popped up on conservative news outlet Breitbart in a round-up of Top 10 power-pop albums, which is quite interesting considering the band's left wing views (they even take direct shots at Sarah Palin on "If I Were God".) Following all this support they were invited to play the International Pop Overthrow Festival at the Cavern Club in London.

The Turnback will be playing the Son of Power Popaholic Fest in Brooklyn on September 19th and will soon announce more dates for the fall. The band is currently in post-production on the video for the album's next single "If I Were God".
