It's safe to say 2012 has been a great one for UK band The Maccabees who, by popular demand will be making their 4th trip to the United States (in just a year) in continued support of their critically acclaimed full-length album ‘Given To The Wild' (Fiction/Coop).
One of the 12 albums shortlisted for a Mercury Music Prize earlier this year, along with the equally prestigious nod from the Q Magazine Album of the Year Awards, ‘Given To The Wild' has been crowned amongst many-a-top ten Album's of the Year categories, including NME's, The Fly, Q, Popmatters and The Sunday Times (top 5 out of 100) to name a few and has unsurprisingly gone Gold, selling over 120,000 physical copies in the United Kingdom alone.
After a successful run on the road this summer with fellow chart-topping Brit's Florence and the Machine and Mumford and Sons as well as their own headlining shows at the Webster Hall in NYC and El Rey Theater in LA, The Maccabees are returning to the U.S for a headlining tour in February 2013.
The Maccabees also headlined the

Right now, the band is on the road supporting The Black Keys in Europe, then will then be taking a much needed (albeit brief) break from the welcomed successes that 2012 and ‘Given To The Wild' has given them before returning to our shores on February 8, 2013.
Following their acclaimed debut ‘Colour It In' and the progressive sound of their 2010 sophomore release ‘Wall Of Arms', ‘Given To The Wild' is the band's most adventurous work to date. Recorded in the band's own London rehearsal space – (that they later discovered had been previously christened ‘The Drugstore' by its former owners The Jesus and Mary Chain), the album is a sprawling masterpiece of distorted pop, psychedelia and soulful guitar soundscapes that include hit singles ‘Pelican', ‘Feel To Follow' and ‘Ayla'.
