Screaming Females AV Undercover Hits 'If It Makes You Happy' & More

New Jersey DIY-punk luminaries Screaming Females will release their blistering seventh studio album All At Once, February 23 on Don Giovanni Records. The album has already had accolades from Rolling Stone, FADER, She Shreds, PASTE, SPIN, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan and today the band has released their wildly popular AV Undercover tracks "If It Makes You Happy" (Sheryl Crow) and "Shake It Off" (Taylor Swift). The tracks are out digitally today and will be available as a limited edition 7" with album pre-order.
The expectations that surround being in a band have changed a lot since Screaming Females started up in 2005. All At Once is a reminder there's a hopeful and joyful energy to underground music-making. The band collaborated with producer Matt Bayles (Pearl Jam, Mastodon), setting out to make an album in the spirit of a salon-style gallery show, where larger pieces provide an eye-level focal point to a galaxy of smaller works. Concision took a back-seat to experimentation, with arrangements meant to evoke the energy and spontaneity of their live performances. Today the three-piece has announced their European tour schedule, thrilled to return for the first time since 2015. These dates will arrive on the heels of an extensive North American spring tour.
