tamtam is a Saudi Arabian-born musician based in Los Angeles. Her diverse background resonates deeply throughout her music, with a unique sound cultivated by a rich combination of cultural & social themes. A hybrid of blues, pop & Arabian influences, tamtam represents a cultural paradox. Her music speaks to many social challenges, including women's rights & social freedoms, and continues to inspire people from all walks of life. tamtam is a voice for an increasingly intimate global community, a voice for the new-age shift in human perspective.

"Gender Game" is tamtam's anthemic debut: a call to action in a world that has still not widely supported complete gender equality. The powerful lyrics pull no punches, encouraging women everywhere to continue striving for their dreams in the face of gender discrimination. As tamtam elaborates, "I was born & raised in a culture that didn't grant women basic civil liberties or allow them the opportunity to express themselves. However, I was lucky enough to have the support & inspiration from my family & loved ones, and was able to create music & find self-expression. This is a message that is very close to my heart."

The "Gender Game" video is available to post & share HERE, and we encourage you to spread the word.

The #GenderGame campaign is intended as a direct call for women to focus not on the gender-based limitations of a patriarchal society- but on what they, as human beings, can gift the world. The hashtag campaign itself is part of a larger conversation that tamtam hopes will continue long after the music video.

tamtam has recently toured nationally, playing select private shows & galas in New York, Los Angeles & Washington, DC for organizations that focus on women's rights. Geena Davis & her Institute on Gender in Media as well as the Bridges of Understanding have invited her to share her message through her music, where she debuted the song in front of influential movers & shakers in the international human rights community.
