Made up of Andrew Braun and Laura Smith, Vancouver's Rococode create hook-filled songs with lush synth textures and duet vocals, which fuse Braun's exploratory tendencies with Smith's razor-sharp pop sensibilities. Crafting the perfect blend of clashing personalities on their forthcoming Young Ones EP, out June 16 via Marquis Artists, Rococode is elated to share the sensuous video for "Is It Real" exclusively at EARMILK.

The ethereal video has EARMILK raving that, "Rococode fits right in the ranks with duos like Electric Youth, Niki & the Dove, and The Hundred and the Hands." It's easy to see why with the Brandon William Fletcher directed video, which glides between black and white with pops of color, creating a world where you can't tell what is real and what is imagined. "The video shows the purgatory and isolation of trying to cope with the problems that follow us around," says the band. "It's a pretty literal interpretation of the lyrics, and Brandon created a beautiful and vivid backdrop on which to showcase the song's simple message."

"I wanted it to be a ghost story of sorts," says Fletcher. "So Laura is haunted by these gold balls that she ignores until they finally consume her."
