Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson Come to Playhouse Square Tonight

Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.), Northeast Ohio's leader in empowering youth through academic and workforce development programs, presents a benefit concert event with GRAMMY- award winning singers ROBERTA FLACK and PEABO BRYSON. An Evening with Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson will be performed tonight, October 30 at 7:30 p.m., at Playhouse Square's State Theatre. Internationally hailed as one of the greatest singers of our time, Roberta Flack remains unparalleled in her musical storytelling. She brings insight into the listeners' lives, loves, culture and politics, while effortlessly traversing a broad musical landscape from pop to soul to folk to jazz. With hits including "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," "Where Is The Love," "Killing Me Softly With His Song," "Feel Like Makin' Love," "The Closer I Get To You," "Set The Night to Music," and the duet with Peabo Bryson "Tonight I Celebrate My Love." Roberta's career legacy was honored with a Star on Hollywood's legendary Walk of Fame in 1999.

Peabo Bryson is one of contemporary music's premier male vocalists. With 20 albums to his credit, Peabo has enjoyed an unprecedented, across-the-board level of international success, earning the distinction as the first artist in music history to have separate records topping four different charts. Peabo's hits include "Beauty and The Beast," "Tonight I Celebrate My Love" (duet with Flack), "If Ever You're in My Arms Again," "Can You Stop The Rain" and "I'm So Into You." He has amassed a loyal fan base, critical acclaim and an avalanche of awards by being one of the "truly best friends" a song could have.

For more than 30 years, Y.O.U. has provided over 150,000 youth with academic and career services in order to achieve success in the classroom and workplace. These specialized programs are based on national best practices and address the needs expressed by regional employers and community leaders.
