Rick Springfield is totally a Renaissance man with so many skill sets -- TV star, musician, Broadway actor and New York Times Best-Selling Author. He is bringing his acclaimed "Stripped Down" solo acoustic show to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, February 26, at 8 p.m. Having sold 25 million albums to date, Springfield became an international star with his Grammy Award-winning, "Jessie's Girl", plus "Don't Talk to Strangers" and "An Affair of the Heart". A gifted songwriter with 17 Top 40 hits including "I've Done Everything for You", "Love Somebody" and "Human Touch", Springfield released Songs for the End of the World (2012), which is jam packed with personal lyrics and catchy hooks that demonstrate an evolution in this songwriter's depth. Pam from WPLRs "Chaz & AJ In The Morning" show will be on hand to lead a Q&A so the audience can speak directly to Rick after the concert! Special guest is American songwriter Tad Kubler, best known for his work in The Hold Steady and a composer for film and television. A Wild Turkey and American Honey tasting courtesy of Campari America starts at 7:15 p.m. in the lobby. To make going to the Playhouse even more special, Gallo Ristorante (5 Grove St., Ridgefield) will pour a complimentary glass of house wine with dinner the night of the show when ticket is presented. An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 addt'l per person), which includes a pre-show cocktail party 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors-d'oeuvre and priority parking, is available for this show by calling the box office (203-438-5795). This event is part of the Xfinity Rock Series with media sponsor 95.9 Fox.

Rick Springfield aka Dr. Noah Drake on the daytime drama General Hospital was a member of the original Broadway cast of the Tony Award-nominated Smokey Joe's Café and was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014. His Playhouse concert is a chance to see a consummate artist live.

For tickets ($90 orches., $85 mezz/balc.), call the box office at (203) 438-5795, or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
