R&B Pop Singer August Rigo Nominated for 2016 JUNO AWARDS (CALGARY)

R&B/Pop singer-songwriter August Rigo officially announces his nomination for 'R&B Recording Of The Year' for his album The Fall Out at the 45th Annual Juno Awards Calgary 2016. The R&B sensation states, "Thanks so much to the Juno Committee for this nomination. I've dreamed about this since I was a kid, and it's so exciting to be here living it today."

Rigo also expresses gratitude to his family and friends along with special thanks to his production partner Ricky Tillo (Lady GaGa) saying, "This album would not be what it is without you, my brother."

August Rigo will go head-to-head for the 'R&B Recording of The Year' win with Alessia Cara (Four Pink Walls), Dru (Deja Vu), Patrick Lehman (Butchy's Son) and The Weeknd (Beauty Behind the Madness) The Juno Awards Calgary 2016 airs April 3 on Canada's CTV.

Rigo's US release of The Fall Out is due this spring with the lead single and video "Just Drive" dropping this month. The album currently boasts critical acclaim in both Japan (September 2015) and Canada (November 2015). Fans can also hear Rigo's latest songwriting success with "Sex You Back To Sleep" as recorded by Chris Brown with rave reviews from VIBE, HYPETRAK, Fuse, Complex, BET, MTV and Billboard.

About August Rigo Born Dan August Rigo in Toronto, Canada, August began honing his musician skills as a teenager and taught himself to play keyboard and guitar. His prolific songwriting/production talents soon caught the attention of the mainstream industry, which led to written songs for artists such as Justin Beiber("U Smile") and One Direction ("Gotta Be You"). August went on to become the vocal coach for "America's Got Talent" and executive producer of Musiq Soulchild's album, MusiqInTheMagiq in 2011. In 2012, he brought his musicianship to the forefront with his debut album, Music Of My Life, released on Manhattan Records/Sony Japan. Since his debut as a recording artist, August has continued to delve into songwriting/artist development through his record label, Summerchild Records, and now prepares to release his latest effort The Fall Out. On the new record, August partners with guitarist to Lady Gaga, Ricky Tillo, forming the production duo formally known as TheEGOs. With his upcoming release, fans can expect songs that speak to the core of August's artistry, his innermost thoughts & feelings and his love for music.
