Patrick Stewart recently stopped by the set of the highly anticipated film X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, set to hit theaters on May 27, 2016. Director Bryan Singer posted a picture of the actor's visit, with the caption, "Trying to look intensely thoughtful, @sirpatstew and#jasonreitman visiting #xmen#apocalypse #xmenapocalypse set and reminiscing about our own#daysoffuturepast. The film will star Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult along with Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok and newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee.

Oscar Isaac will portray the film's villain from a script by Simon Kinberg. Bryan Singer directs.

The film will reportedly serve as the conclusion of a trilogy which bega with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past.
