Platinum-selling singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips will play at the Van Wezel tonight, November 12, 2014 at 8 pm. The comprehensive tour comes after Phillips' "Behind the Light" (19 Entertainment/Interscope) was released to critical acclaim. His new single, "Unpack Your Heart," is the second track released from the album, following the hit song "Raging Fire."

"Behind The Light" is the follow-up to Phillips' hugely successful debut album, "The World from the Side of the Moon," which spawned the single "Home" -- one of the biggest tracks of 2012 with more than 5 million copies sold. "The World from the Side of the Moon" sold more than 1 million copies and debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart and #1 on the Billboard Rock Album chart; successful tours both as a headliner and with Matchbox 20 and John Mayer followed. "The World from the Side of the Moon" also featured the platinum single "Gone, Gone, Gone." Since winning season 11 of "American Idol," Phillips has sold more than 2 million albums and more than 9 million singles.

The Saints of Valory have been making waves in the alternative rock scene, being cited by Billboard as one of the top six unsigned bands in the nation. They scored a Top 50 single at Triple A radio, making them the only unsigned band in the upper reaches of the chart. Saints of Valory are the type of band that crafts dramatic, sweeping, arena-ready rock filled with elegant pop hooks, shimmering guitars, and emotionally genuine lyrics. The Kids EP entered iTunes' Top Rock Album Chart, and sold 1,700 in its first week. Subsequently, the band's Atlantic Records debut, Possibilities was co-produced by Joe Chiccarelli (Morrissey, Jason Mraz, The Strokes), paving the way to another round of hits for the up-and-coming stars.

Tickets are priced from $20-$64.50 For more information, call the Box Office at 941-953-3368 or visit www.VanWezel.org.
