Boston's Palehound, aka fierce creative force Ellen Kempner, is thrilled to announce signing with Polyvinyl Record Co. to release her sophomore album in Summer 2017. Revered for her distinct, whispery alto, sterling musicianship and honest, wry lyrics, the new album is sure to excite fans new & old. Polyvinyl label manager Seth Hubbard shared, "We could not be more psyched about making things official and bringing Palehound in to the PV family. Their new record is going to blow people away."

Continuing to make waves since the release of her 2015 debut LP, Dry Food, Palehound has toured with Torres, Margaret Glaspy, Bully, Mitski, PWR BTTM and a variety of other bands, developing a ferocious live set in the process. Watch her entrancing performance of the 2014 single "Holiest" captured by NPR Music at last year's Pickathon. They will hit the road once again with Big Thief, perhaps offering fans a sneak peek of the the new record. Stay tuned for more news on the new Palehound record coming soon!
