CBS Interactive's award-winning webcast concert series, LIVE ON LETTERMAN, presented by AT&T, will feature Academy Award winning singer-songwriter Glen Hansard performing live from the world-famous Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City and webcast on CBS.com and VEVO, Thursday, Dec. 12 (9:00 PM, ET/6:00 PM, PT).
Glen Hansard's LIVE ON LETTERMAN performance will feature songs off of his latest EP, Drive All Night, which was released earlier this month, and his 2012 debut album, Rhythm and Repose. The LIVE ON LETTERMAN franchise, which has garnered more than 200 million views to date on CBS.com and VEVO, has hosted some of the most established bands and musicians across the globe, staged in an intimate and dynamic setting for worldwide followers to enjoy. LIVE ON LETTERMAN webcasts have included some of music's biggest stars, including Coldplay, Alicia Keys, The Killers, Depeche Mode, John Legend and Mumford & Sons. Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard is celebrated as the principal songwriter and vocalist/guitarist for the group The Frames, one of the most influential bands in Ireland. Known for his dedicated following and grounded, real-life songs, Hansard garnered a reputation as an unparalleled front man. In 2007, he and Czech songstress Markéta Irglová took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Falling Slowly" from the Once soundtrack. Hansard and Irglová continued the success of Once with the 2009 release Strict Joy under the namesake of The Swell Season. In 2012, Hansard released his first solo album, Rhythm and Repose, featuring favorites "Love Don't Keep Me Waiting" and "High Hope."
