Born in Alabama, the 20-year-old Peezy moved to the west coast when he was 12, developing a reputation as a rap prodigy, building a following on YouTube, and gaining the respect of the new wave of Bay Area artists such as

To accompany the release of Humble Beginnings, OMB Peezy shares the video for "Love You Back," one of the album's highlights. Flashing a sing-song, double-time flow over low-riding bass, airy synths, and Cardo's trademark cross-stick drums, OMB Peezy ruminates on the fickle nature of success in the hood, displaying wisdom far beyond his 20 years: "You can love the hood, but it ain't gon' love you back." The video finds OMB Peezy relaxing on his porch, witnessing the planning and unsubtle execution of a convenience store robbery, shaking his head at the perpetrators short-sighted pursuit of a quick buck, before one of the robbers betrays his partner-in-crime.
