"Mountain to Move," the latest single from acclaimed British musician Nick Mulvey debuts on Annie Mac's BBC radio show the "Hottest Record in the World." Listen/share the track here: https://nickmulvey.lnk.to/MTMPR

The song, which was produced by Rodaidh McDonald (The xx, Sampha), appears on Mulvey's highly anticipated new album, Wake Up Now, set for release September 8 via Harvest Records. Wake up Now is available for pre-order at http://bit.ly/2rwlWFF.

Wake Up Now, an album rooted in conscience, was produced by Ethan Johns at Real World Studios who recorded Mulvey and his band live and at their most raw to reinforce that key community spirit. That sense of community was further drilled home by Brian Eno who in a few pre-recording sessions implored Mulvey to open up more and consider sharing the workload. The idea of opening himself up has filtered into Mulvey's lyrics, once swathed in metaphor upon metaphor, they're now at the heart of this record's identity.

Wake Up Now is the first new music from Mulvey since his 2014 Mercury Prize-nominated debut, First Mind. First Mind received widespread critical praise-Rolling Stone hailed it as "One of this year's finest new releases...Sophisticated and intricate stuff; Mulvey sounds like a major player in the making, and as introductions go, this is fine indeed," while The Guardian furthered, "His album mixes traditional and experimental, acoustic and electronic to pull unexpected rabbits out of hats," and The Line of Best Fit added it's "a total package of pop hooks, instrumental genius and gorgeous rhythms."
