Hershey Area Playhouse will host the award-winning folk band, Molasses Creek, for the third straight year tonight, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m., as part of its Dark Night Series productions.

Hailing from Ocracoke Island, N.C., Molasses Creek combines high-energy performances and phenomenal songwriting to bring the love of their coastal home to the stage. The band's elegant harmonies and arrangements, blazing instrumentals, and quirky sense of humor have won loyal followers throughout the United States and around the world.

Molasses Creek's inspiration arose amidst exotic fig trees and rich tidewater marshes of the isolated Ocracoke Island. Award winners from Garrison Keillor's "Prairie Home Companion," the band has recorded 15 albums over the past 23 years. Molasses Creek's release, "Something Worth Having" ranked in the National Top 40 Folk Charts for albums in 2014! More recently, the band released its latest album, "Waterbound."

The performance will be held at the Playhouse, located at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Cherry Drive, Hershey.

Tickets are $20 and $15 for youth ages 13 and under. Tickets are available via the Playhouse's website, www.HersheyAreaPlayhouse.com or by calling the Playhouse's box office at 717-533-8525.
